Has a green thumb

Believes that caring for the planet goes beyond her window box and into the neighborhood

recycle.jpgShe'd first heard about protecting the planet when her third grade class took a field trip to a local recycling center. She thought the whole thing seemed like a piece of cake. Reduce, Re-Use, Recycle. So after that she began to notice and use the plastic bins for paper, plastic and cans. All through her school years, she thought going green was just a simple, personal choice.

But as a young collegian, she saw environmental awareness spread across her campus and her community, and she realized that there was a whole world of choices that she and her friends were making that could make a huge impact. She felt compelled to spread the word: going green could make a huge difference with the easy, everyday choices that they could make together.

She was attracted to Delta Zeta and its Pink Goes Green initiative. Now a member, she shows everyone that she enriches the Earth by caring for it, and she educates others about the importance of living green. To Delta Zetas, it is a life choice that positively impacts not only the planet, but those who live on it.

Delta Zeta's Creed says, "To those closer ones, Love that is ever steadfast." To her, this means love for not only her friends and family, but love and respect for the Earth that sustains all of us.
