It is always exciting to welcome a new chapter to the Delta Zeta family. From the expansion of the second Delta Zeta chapter in 1908 to today, Delta Zeta Sorority has always been open to the opportunities to extend our sisterhood and provide women the opportunity to share in the benefits of membership, enriching their own lives and the lives of others.

We recognize that the first ten years of a new chapter are critical to its long-term success within the Greek community. Delta Zeta's goal is to establish a mutually beneficial relationship with the host institution where our collegiate chapter is located. Delta Zeta knows that a colony's success depends on a good working relationship with the university community, the strength and support of our alumnae and strong commitment from our national organization. When researching a potential host institution for a new chapter, Delta Zeta carefully considers the following:

• Academic reputation of the school
• Interest in Greek life on campus and stable or increasing school enrollment
• Support and interest on the part of local alumnae and nearby Delta Zeta chapters
• Support from the campus administration and/or College Panhellenic
